Nidia Valentina Espinal, who is currently 1 year and 10 months old, is the daughter of our CEOs, Amaury and Karen Espinal. Nidia made her first runway appearance at the Winter Fashion Show '16. She showed she has a natural stage presence and that the cameras don't intimidate her. So we'll be keeping a close eye on her. Congratulations to her parents.

As every year, the Dominican Day Parade of New Jersey was held in Paterson. More than 25,000 people gathered on Park Avenue. The Dominican Academy and some of its members walked the runway in this grand parade organized by the parade's president, Elsa Mantilla.

Our director, Karen Espinal, marched with her students and staff after opening the parade alongside all the godparents who wore their sashes in the NJ Dominican Day Parade, along with its president, Mrs. Elsa Mantilla. More than 10,000 people attended the parade.
A sense of pride and nostalgia filled the air among all the Dominican immigrants residing in the USA. Many of them have never been able to return, and the parade gives them the feeling of enjoying it in their beautiful homeland, the Dominican Republic. The parade held its Grand Gala a few days before the main event, during which a beautiful ceremony took place where our dear Karen received her sash. At the Gala, everyone danced to the rhythm of the queen of merengue, Milly Quezada. We congratulate Karen on this achievement, which represents our modeling academy, and we hope it will be one of many recognitions she will receive for being a young, entrepreneurial woman who strives for what she wants and is a great example of discipline, professionalism, and humility. We wish her continued success.
